Featuring enviable views of the river and the Story Bridge thanks to its prime location at 480 Queen Street, The Aviary Terrace Bar is the perfect spot for a post-work glass of bubbles and plate of fresh oysters—or even better, a pre-dinner libation before heading next door to BÔS for a date night steak.
Coming to us from the same team as said meat-centric restaurant, which includes Chris Higgins, Liam McMahon and celeb chef Adrian Richardson, The Aviary is quite the opposite of its older sibling—playful and vibrant where BÔS is sleek and moody. Seating options range from several massive circular booths and plush green lounges to high tables by the marble, vine-covered bar, with spectacular views from all of them.
On the dining menu you’ll find everything from prawn cocktails to saucy chicken wings, with everything designed to share. Epic tiered seafood platters can be paired with crispy calamari and fresh oysters, or you can just order yourself a toasted reuben sandwich. Of course, if you’re here for a 5pm knock off, it’s probably the drinks you’re more interested in, and there’s plenty of those, including signature cocktails and a dedicated margarita menu, alongside champagne, wine and beer.
