The Verdict
The Brass Barrel, in Rosalie, does all your favourite dishes but with a delicious twist from breakfast staples to savoury classics so that even the pickiest diner will be cheering.
The signature Brass Barrel Benedict comes with the Sriracha hollandaise and the golden, runny yolk we know and love. But, it’s pimped out with braised, pulled pork and sriracha and served up on a fluffy cheese and spinach scone. Yummm!
In the PM you’ll be treated to shareable feasts and traditional meals. We’re crushing over the Traditional English Ploughman's Board with 23 House-Cured Ham, pork and fennel scotched egg, cheese, pickles and bread. It's made for sharing, but we won’t judge if you decide to keep this one for yourself. The Signature Brass Barrel Beef Burger is also a winner. Sticking to the same-same but different theme, this one actually has a black bun. No, it’s not burnt – it’s delicious. It’s a tender beef patty stacked with maple bacon, candied onions, jack cheese and Brass Barrel special sauce.
We’ve saved the best for last though; the drinks. The glazed and ginfused, aside from being delightfully punny, is also adorable. There are gummy bears and gin, so it’s kind of the best thing ever. There’s also a killer expressive martini, for the more expressive espresso lovers amongst us, which is up there with the best in Brisbane.
If you’re looking for epic share plates, delicious meals and insta-worthy breakfasts then this is your spot.
