Taking over the former spaces of Fringe Bar and Kerbside, Fortitude Valley is welcoming an iconic oldie-but-sort-of-newbie to its bar scene—welcome back, The Osbourne Hotel!
One of the first hotels in Brisbane back in the 1800s (that's proper OG Brisbane vibes right there gang) The Osbourne Hotel has a lot of history round these parts, and is all but set to take the title of the most beautiful bar and beer garden in Brisbane.
The space itself is a distinct nod to its heritage past, being stripped back to the bulidings original colours and brick foundations. But, it's the stunning beer garden that's got us all aflutter: with a vaulted glass roof ceiling, lush plants and leafy areas, this gorgeous alfresco space screams balmy evening vibes, with capacity of up to 400 patrons—a pretty big space, then.
The first storey houses bespoke function areas, dining spaces and a private dining room if the mood strikes your fancy, with the venue itself home to 94 beer taps throughout. Declicious cocktails and a stuner of a boutique wine list are also on hand if hops aren't your bag.
The Osbourne Hotel also showcases some of the best local produce going, thanks to head chef Jamie MacKinney (of The Alliance and Royal on Park fame), with a heady mix of gastro-pub style classics (hello burgers, steaks and pizzas) mixed with crowd faves such as cheese kransikes, karaage chicken and empanadas.
