The Tinsel Bar Brisbane

The Verdict

Get ready to sip cocktails in a tinsel wonderland at Brisbane’s most Instagramable new bar and event space, The Tinsel Bar. This immersive tinsel paradise is serving up childhood nostalgia with a side of cocktails—for those of us who wanted to grow up too fast but now wish they were a kid again. The colourful venue is a collaboration between the brains behind Hello Please and Maeve Wine, Maris Cook, and the tinsel queen herself, Rachel Burke—who you might recongise as the creator of the dazzling tinsel jackets that have adorned the shoulders of Kesha. It’s fair to say, she knows how to do tinsel.

With a bar completely decked out in the sparkly stuff, the menu features throwback food offerings like fairy bread, pop rocks, push pops, bolognese toasties, sausage rolls and party pies, as well some grown up eats like charcuterie and a chicken and chive toastie. And to drink? You'll be sipping on quirky concoctions like the Unicorn Gin and Tonic, Frosty Fruit Frappe and Cottees Cordial cooler, as well as a range of wines and beer.

Meanwhile, during the day the bar transforms into The Tinsel Deli and serves up delicious freshly made sandwiches, toasties and salads. The venue is also available for private functions throughout the week, available to host everything from birthdays and hens nights, and plans to schedule in regular art and craft themed events soon.
