Here in Brisbane we love a good tipple, even more so when we can have a sip and then stock up on the good stuff—all in the one spot. Which is why we’re big fans of Wineism, a wine venue and merchant that is sure to become one of your faves. Housed in a cool and modern converted industrial building in the heart of Albion, Wineism is not a typical bar, nor is it an average bottle shop. Here you’ll find wines from around the world, handpicked for Brisbane’s wine appreciators and available for online purchase, home delivery, curbside pick-up and sipping, and purchase in-store.

Celebrated sommelier Ian Trinkle, wife Liz Trinkle and colleague Aaron Mullan are the trio behind the venture. The team have decades of experience between them, with Ian curating award-winning wine lists for Aria Brisbane and Howard Smith Wharves. His vision for Wineism though, is to connect a broader audience with his favourite winemakers. Read: lots of chats and tasting. We dig that. 

Even better, over the coming weeks Wineism will develop its snack offerings (think: cheeses and charcuterie) to accompany sips as well as winemaker appearances and internationally recognised courses for budding sommeliers and enthusiasts.

They’ll even be making their own blends with Queensland winemakers—kicking things off with winemaker Pete Wise of Terra di Granito. There are two special new blends available at Wineism right now. We’ll drink to that.
