The Verdict
A space where worlds and cultures collide amongst a vibrant, colonial backdrop, ZA ZA TA has made its highly-anticipated and spicy new Middle Eastern arrival to the Brisbane foodie scene. Experience a soulful blend of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine that brings a distinctly modern twist to centuries-old flavours, designed to be shared and savoured amongst friends.
This 200-seat venue is headed up by Israeli-born chef Roy Ner and executive chef Micheal Jackson, serving up a shared-style menu of Israeli-inspired eats across brunch, lunch and dinner. Night owls can also enjoy a late-night menu from 11pm onwards, inspired by an after-dark street-food scene. ZA ZA TA spans across multiple rooms, each one imbuing its own personality, fused with quirky design and bold interiors.
If the sound of the food isn't already tingling your tastebuds, just wait until you see their drinks menu. ZA ZA TA will feature a curated collection of rums and bespoke cocktails, infused with spices traded at Middle Eastern marketplaces and accompanied by seasonal citrius and botanicals. Settle in for the night with friends, treat yourself to a cocktail and some good food and let yourself be swept away into a Middle Eastern oasis.
