You’re surrounded by swaying palm trees and sparkling water, as you relax on a sunbed with a cold cocktail in hand and watch the sails of nearby superyachts dance in the wind. A balmy sea breeze rolls in as you snack on exquisite delicacies delivered to your sunbed and, somehow, the sun just seems to shine brighter here. No, you’re not on a far-flung holiday to Greece, this is what awaits you at La Luna Beach Club.
Since the opening of La Luna Dining in January, Gold Coast foodie aficionados have been waiting with bated breath for the hotly anticipated opening of its sister venue, La Luna Beach Club. La Luna is Australia’s first luxury beach club and if that wasn’t cool enough already, it’s built on floating pontoons. It’s a beach club on the water, literally. If Mykonos, St Tropez and Tulum had a lovechild, La Luna Beach Club would be it.
The latest addition to Pat Gennari's Gennari Group portfolio (whose venues include Koi Broadbeach, Maggie Choo, Loose Moose and more), La Luna Beach Club is located at the iconic Marina Mirage and features an indoor fine dining restaurant, two spacious pools separated by a runway, poolside day beds, sun lounges, private cabanas and an expansive bar. The luxurious paradise oozes bohemian vibes and seamlessly combines pure luxury with nature, creating an oasis of comfort, style and rejuvenation.
You’ll find us poolside, with a cocktail in hand as we bask in the sunshine and soak up the million-dollar views. If you’re looking to level up your luxurious La Luna experience, book a spot at the glamorous cabanas which boast elevated lounging, VIP service and plenty of prime people-watching spots. Make sure you book in advance as the poolside spots must be pre-booked and are on minimum spend.
Once you’ve had your fill of sunshine and views (is there ever a limit?), make your way to MĀRE, La Luna’s alfresco poolside restaurant. The refined menu boasts a curated offering of modern Italian and Mediterranean flavours and showcases quality, locally sourced produce. The 90-seater restaurant’s luxe fit-out reflects the ethos of the menu; it’s sophisticated, elegant and lets the food do the talking.
MĀRE’s pared-back menu has a strong focus on mezze plates, quality seafood and premium beef cuts. Start with the wagyu beef tartare with black sesame, avocado foam and crips, before moving onto the small plates menu and devouring lobster and scallop ravioli with abalone sauce, chilli oil and red amaranth. Make sure to save room for the mains, with the likes of 300gr Black Angus striploin, oven-baked whole John Dory and squid ink tonnarelli gracing the menu.
If you thought MĀRE’s food menu was impressive, just wait until you set eyes on their extensive drinks menu. Sip your way through the summer-inspired signature cocktails (sunset lychee martini, anyone?) or peruse the top-notch vino list. If you’re looking to splash out, La Luna serves a ‘Fortune 500’ cocktail which is served on a diamond ice cube and is made from $3000-a-pop Woodford Reserve Baccarat Edition, muscovado, cognac sugar reduction and old fashioned bitters.
La Luna is something we’ve never seen before. It’s not just a beach club—it’s a multisensory experience. Indulge in a selection of exquisite Mediterranean flavours, sip on exquisite cocktails inspired by the land and sea and dip your toes into the ocean aboard this luxury haven.
