Get Your Nails Did | The Best Manicures And Pedicures

By AJ James - 01 Feb 2016

There are several things any good beach holiday (or day trip) requires.

Slip, slopping, and slapping (you’re an idiot if you don’t), bathers that fit well (both for your modesty and the sanity of fellow beach goers), and an excellent pedicure. The latter of which is mainly due to no one wanting to spy uncovered hobbit toes while they’re trying to relax in a coastal setting. It’s unsightly and in some instances, nauseating.

What’s more, a good pedicure is the ideal opportunity in which to add not just a little extra chic to your beach kit, but some funky colour coordination as well. And plus there’s that four week(ish) post period glow you get with a pedicure when you walk around the house admiring your toes at random intervals from taking the bins out to cooking barefoot in the kitchen.

Yep, a pedicure does wonders for the soul (male or female), as does its more vertical friend—the manicure. The two go hand in hand (pun intended) and this is where you’ll find the best manicures and pedicures on the Gold Coast this year.

You can be sure that anything you sign up for at Endota Spa will be of a supremely high quality. And their nail work is no exception. Plus, they burn lovely fragrances while working, which is just a pleasant plus.

Where: Shop 1 The Oracle, 17 Elizabeth Avenue, Broadbeach

Trust the QT Hotel’s offering to be super suave. A “Twinkle Toes” for us please. Undoubtedly one of the best day spas on the Gold Coast, at Spa Q you may want to extend your visit and add another treatment or two; like a Wild Thyme Foot Therapy to nourish those tied souls.

Where: QT Hotel, 7 Staghorn Avenue, Surfers Paradise

If you can get into see Nicole count yourself blessed. But even if you can’t, go ahead and book in with any of the team at Adore Dolls Parlour for one of the best manicures on the Gold Coast. Depart bedazzled and head for the nearest cocktail bar to flash your sexy new nails while sipping back a martini or two.

Where: 191 Varisty Parade, Varsity Lakes

As they promise, Elysium really is a “place of beauty”. Escape the daily grind for a moment and treat yourself to a cut, buff, and polish with one of the best manicures and pedicures on the Gold Coast. Plus they offer Omnilux light therapy facials should you want to focus on all of your features.

Where: 31 Connor Street, Burleigh Heads

No matter what end of the glitter strip you’re at, there’s a location you can get to. Pure Indulgence do shellac—and don’t charge a ridiculous rate for removing it either! So this won’t dig into your budget too much, which means it can totally become a regular thing.

Where: Pacific Fair and Robina Town Centre

This is not a walk in option, and it’s not for the faint hearted. You need to call up Nail Candy by Kylie ahead of time to book in for the ultimate artistic nail treat. Did you know, pointy nails are a thing now? Meow.

Did someone say 3D NAIL ART?! This is funky, and it’s super fresh. Miss G’s Nail Lounge can help you out with a simple shellac or gel manicure, or be adventurous and let Miss G decorate your digits with some fancy nail art, with or without the bling.

Where: 9/175-179 Ferry Road, Southport
