A Banging (And Bottomless) 90s Party Is Coming To This Riverside Bar

A bar drenched in sun along the Yarra River.

The 90s were a simpler time. A playlist was limited to just one CD inside your discman, television was made up of just several channels and the booze of choice was either Smirnoff, Passion Pop or that beer you saw your dad drink once—and now, like a sort of time-warp akin to what you’d see in 1995 smash series Sliders—The Boatbuilders Yard is letting you revisit everyone’s favourite era with the 90s Mixtape Bottomless Brunch each and every Saturday.

First thing's first, yes, The Boatbuilders Yard will be serving up both Smirnoff Ice and Passion Pop as your deso drops you off in their VT Commodore. Following your arrival, you and the squad will be treated to two hours of 90s style, Midori-heavy cocktails.

The commitment to the theme goes far beyond just a few throwback dranks, though. DJ Joey Lightbulb is commanding the wheels of steel and slinging your favourite bangers from back in the day while the kitchen slings out sloppy joes and potato skins all arvo.

The 90s Mixtape Bottomless Brunch kicks off Saturday 29 May with various two-hour sessions throughout the day—bookings are recommended, velour tracksuits essential.
