Jerome Borazio is at it again, this time opening HABA—a beach-side Aussie pub in Rye on the Mornington Peninsula—just in time for your summer holiday.
In the spot that was once BAHA, the new and improved HABA is still all about live music and you can expect a relaxed atmosphere with beach bar vibes and Carlton Draught on tap, plus a top notch drinks list for those days when Carlton Draught just won't cut it—think craft beers from the like of Jetty Road as well as Melbourne Bitter long necks for when you need a good dose of nostalgia. Not into beet? Check out the seltzers, summer cocktails and the wine list which has a strong focus on local Vitorian producers.
When it comes to food, expect only the best from this hospitality legend. The menu is an ode to summer with dishes like fish tacos, grilled prawn salata, mussel mariniere, share plates and more. The best part? A revolving outdoor kitchen will be collaborating with local venues like Captains of Rye so keep your eyes peeled to see who else will be stopping over summer.
HABA opens today, Thursday 23 December with DJs spinning tunes every Friday and Saturday night until their full music program launches in March next year.
