Laufey Tour 2026 Melbourne: Set Times, What To Expect And Where To Go Before
Lover girls, assemble. Laufey is landing in Melbourne for three whimsical shows this July and August, and you already know it’s going to feel like a fairytale.
And luckily for us, Visa is the Official Payment Partner for Laufey’s A Matter of Time Tour across the Asia Pacific, helping bring her Lover Girl universe to life in Melbourne—on 30 July to 1 August—before the first note is even played.
As the Icelandic pop-jazz star’s official payment partner, Visa has some exciting surprises in store for customers and Lauvers alike. Hitting the city from 30 July to 1 August, we’ve got all the information you need to make the most of your Laufey show day at Rod Laver Arena, plus tips on continuing the magic beyond the performance.

What To Expect
Laufey’s A Matter of Time Tour is set to transport audiences into a whimsical castle ballroom, complete with multiple levels, cinematic visuals and plenty of her iconic theatrical glamour.
Laufey moves between the guitar, piano and, of course, her beloved cello, while dancers, strings and a live band help bring her musical world to life.
Expect favourites from across all three of her albums—including the aforementioned A Matter of Time—plus standouts like the viral hit From the Start. With a lush mix spanning her entire catalogue, prepare to dance, cry and maybe accidentally text your ex.
Aussie singer-songwriter and classically trained violinist Leonie Biney will warm up the stage as Laufey’s special guest for all Melbourne shows too.
We know you’ll be putting your most ethereal foot forward for your A Matter of Time tour outfits—and what better way to immortalise the glam than with an official photo?
Grab an iconic photo in front of the Visa x Laufey Hot Air Balloon outside Rod Laver Arena, and you’ll walk away with a charming analogue print photo to take home as a souvenir. To get involved, just sign in at the Visa registration kiosk.
Concert-goers will already know that Visa is the official payment partner for Laufey’s tour across Australia and New Zealand, since they got early ticket access via the Visa presale (lucky ducks). Keep your cards handy after you snap that hot air balloon photo, because all retail outlets within the stadium are cashless. Suss the merch on offer, or stock up on snacks before the show; there are plenty of options to choose from at Rod Laver.
Check out grab-and-go food from outlets by Mr Miyagi, Meli, House of Franks, Sliced, and more—or head straight for the Food Hall for the biggest range of refreshments in one place.
How To Get There
Public transport is the quickest and most reliable way to reach Rod Laver Arena, and you can plan your journey ahead of time on the Transport Victoria website to avoid any hiccups. Of course, it’s best to allow extra time for any disruptions or traffic on the day.
If you’re driving to the A Matter of Time tour, parking is available at the Eastern Plaza Car Park (Entrance D, Olympic Boulevard), but it’s strongly recommended to pre-book since drive-up spaces are strictly limited. Those requiring accessible parking must pre-book via Ticketek.
For drop-offs and pick-ups, head to the Northern Car Park (Entrance A, Batman Avenue), where a 20-minute grace period applies. Cloaking is available at the Information Desk at Gate 4 or Show Court 3.
Set Times
The exact running times haven’t been released just yet, but the ticketed start time for both shows is 7:30pm. We’ll update this guide as soon as the full schedule drops.

Where To Go Before (And After)
Laufey landing in Melbourne (with her Visa Hot Air Balloon, of course) is cause for celebration. Make a day of your concert date by heading to these places before or after she serenades you.
Paris Cat Jazz Club
6 Goldie Place, Melbourne

A decadent Parisian-style jazz club set across three levels, Paris Cat is arguably the most lover girl-coded venue to continue the vibes after the show. Enjoy the gorgeous venue with a cocktail in hand and snack on some tapas, or just soak up the live jazz performances from both local and international artists.
The Paperback Bookshop
60 Bourke Street, Melbourne
As our queen of reading, Laufey would wholeheartedly approve of a pre-show, afternoon wander through The Paperback Bookshop in the CBD. The books here are piled so high that it feels like an escape from the hustle and bustle, making it the ideal place to take home The Laufey Book Club’s latest read.
Baby Driver
2 Driver Lane, Melbourne

A cocktail lounge and listening bar with a distinctly ’70s atmosphere? Sounds about right. Keep the whimsical vibe going at Baby Driver, the latest addition to the Beneath Driver Lane complex, where you can grab a wine and enjoy DJs spinning old-school jazz and deep funk.
HER Music Room
270 Lonsdale St, Melbourne
After the show, settle into a lounge seat at HER Music Room with a cocktail, or keep the dancing going with DJ-spun vinyls til the early hours. Of course, you can always head up to the rooftop for some fresh air, or down to the Parisian diner at HER; your options are truly endless.
