Say Hello To The Residents Of Melbourne Zoo Through Their 24 Hour Live Stream

By Rick Stephens

While we shouldn’t be burying our heads in the sand on the situation that is lockdown 7.0, but someimtes disconnecting from the noise is sometimes necessary. The legends over at Zoos Victoria are helping you find some catharsis in your day with several live streams watching candidly over their furry—and feathered—friends.

Headlining is the bill is Melbourne Zoo's otter family, who are often doing what otters do best: wrestling, playing and cuddling—it's truly heartmelting stuff and you can catch them in action in their dens.

And how could we forget Melbourne Zoo’s snow leopard cubs. With the trio born earlier this year, the live stream provides a rare look into the cubs discovering themselves and their surroundings. Their mum, Miska, of course makes an appearance, too.

Check in on Melbourne Zoo’s giraffes. Apparently, they’ll most likely be grazing at any given time, which is probably not too dissimilar from what you’re doing within the confines of your home office.

Ed the Fiordland penguin, along with his mates, also score some airtime on the penguin stream, as do the pride of lions over at Werribee Open Range Zoo

The stream is available to anyone with an internet connection 24 hours a day here.

Once you're done zenning out with your new furry friends, why not order in a feed from these Melbourne restaurants doing takeaway?
