Meredith Music Festival is back for 2025, and they’ve just dropped a banging line-up to follow the events of last year. Just a three hour drive from Melbourne, the three-day camping event stands apart due to no commercial sponsorship or signage, no curfew, no market stalls—and even BYO booze—with a supportive community ethos and an aim to immerse yourself in the music. Whether you are a dedicated attendee or a newcomer to the festival scene, Meredith is a must-add to your itinerary this summer.

For their 33rd year, the lineup goes above and beyond, sourcing a unique blend of rising local and international talent, carefully curated for their Supernatural Amphitheatre. Heading up the selection are mutant art-rock pioneers TV On The Radio, straight out of NYC in the noughties; followed closely behind by Atarashii Gakko!, a Japanese group blending J-Pop, rap and hyperreal rave in a defiant rejection of musical mediocrity. Further down the line is Sam Austins, best known for his viral hit Seasons (which would’ve been all over your FYP earlier this year). His speciality? Dreamy, kinetic alt-pop, with callbacks to 00s R&B. Here at Urban List, we’ll be getting our house, trance and techno fix from RONA.—taking residency behind the decks for the party slot, we'd let her hold our hand through those late night sessions (because everyone knows the greatest festival moments happen after 3am).

We can't forget about the world's greatest nude (or under-wearing) footrace, Meredith Gift—you heard that right. Anyone can enter (as long as they race nude or scantily clad), and there are three prize categories up for grabs. 'Best in Show' is awarded to the entrant displaying the most creativity and pageantry of their au naturel self; 'Best Finish' is a nod towards the most memorable, fearless or exciting race finish; and 'Speediest' is probably self-explanatory. This year, local legend Lazy Susan will be your race MC—bringing camp, horror and offbeat glamour as the Season 4 winner of Drag Race Down-Under.

The festival will run from 5-7 December at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre. Tickets begin with a two-round ballot system, with existing Meredith subscribers entered into the first round, and newcomers entered in the second (about a week later). Post-ballot sales, online sales will open to everyone on Wednesday, 27th August, from 11am.
You can access the full line-up online, as well as a more detailed debrief for how to secure your tickets.
