Everything To Expect At Meredith Music Festival 2026

Meredith Music Festival is returning for its 34th instalment, bringing three days and two nights of live music, camping and late-night revelry to the Supernatural Amphitheatre this December.

Set on Wadawurrung Country, around three hours from Melbourne, the independent festival has built a loyal following without commercial sponsors, branded signage, market stalls or multiple competing stages. There’s no curfew, you can bring your own drinks, and every artist performs on the same stage—meaning you never have to choose between two clashing sets.

This year, a genre-spanning lineup led by Dijon, underscores, The Dandy Warhols, Hiatus Kaiyote and Eddy Current Suppression Ring will take over the amphitheatre from Friday, 11 December to Sunday, 13 December.

Who Is Headlining Meredith Music Festival 2026?

The Meredith Music Festival 2026 lineup moves from experimental R&B and hyperpop to indie rock, funk, house and techno, with cult favourites sharing the bill alongside emerging Australian and international acts.

Leading the charge is Baltimore singer, songwriter and producer Dijon, who will make his Australian debut with a full live band. Known for pulling apart the boundaries between R&B, folk, pop and rock, Dijon has become an influential figure in contemporary music through his albums Absolutely and Baby, as well as collaborations with artists including Bon Iver, Justin Bieber and Charli xcx.

He’ll be joined by hyperpop shapeshifter underscores, New York dance duo Fcukers and Portland indie-rock mainstays The Dandy Warhols, whose catalogue spans era-defining tracks including Bohemian Like You, We Used To Be Friends and Godless.

Melbourne will also be strongly represented. Grammy-nominated future-soul group Hiatus Kaiyote will return to Meredith for the first time since 2014, while Eddy Current Suppression Ring will make their long-awaited return to the Supernatural Amphitheatre a decade after their last appearance.

The Full Meredith Music Festival 2026 Lineup

The dance program is just as stacked, with Swedish producer DJ Seinfeld taking over the decks after the Sky Show for a set moving through deep house, garage, electro, acid and trance. Post-disco singer James “D Train” Williams will perform alongside Melbourne funk outfit Mondo Freaks, bringing the sound behind club classic You’re The One For Me to the amphitheatre.

Elsewhere, the lineup features Fat Dog, Suzanne Ciani, Show Me The Body, Sophia Stel, Twisted Teens, Killing Heidi, Marcellus Pittman, Yikes, Spike Fuck, Ella Thompson, Docker River Band, Tara Clerkin Trio, DJ Love, Jorg Kuning, Hana Stretton, Miles Nautu, Blue Communications, media puzzle and the City of Ballarat Municipal Brass Band—with several more acts still to be announced.

Music may be the main event, but Meredith’s strange and much-loved traditions are a major part of its appeal. The program will once again include the Meredith Sky Show, Ecoplex Cinema, Tai Chi, the Big Wheel and the City of Ballarat Municipal Brass Band, alongside plenty of surprises that aren’t revealed until the weekend.

Then there’s the Meredith Gift, the festival’s famously clothing-optional footrace. Entrants can compete nude or scantily clad across three categories: Speediest, Best Finish and Best in Show, with the latter rewarding creativity, pageantry and commitment rather than athletic ability.

Meredith also maintains its BYO policy, allowing attendees to bring their own drinks into the campground and amphitheatre. The festival has no commercial sponsors, and proceeds from every ticket help support community organisations across the Meredith district.

When Is Meredith Music Festival 2026 And How Do You Get Tickets?

Meredith Music Festival 2026 will run from 8am Friday, 11 December until 4.30pm Sunday, 13 December at the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre.

Tickets cost $541, including booking fees, and cover the full three-day festival, two nights of camping, parking, car passes and rides on the Meredith Eye.

Due to demand, most tickets are distributed through a two-round ballot designed to make the process more equitable and less stressful. The first round is reserved for existing Meredith subscribers, while the second is open to both new and existing subscribers until 10.34pm on Tuesday, 18 August.
