A restaurant filled with sand

As part of Good Food Month, Mister Bianco is transforming the local Kew favourite restaurant into a summer beach-side paradise by covering their floor with a sturdy layer of soft sand. Slip off your winter boots, sink your toes in and be transported to the Sicilian seaside.

To accompany this unique sensory experience, Head Chef and culinary legend Joe Vargetto has concocted a rich yet summery tasting menu packed with all his favourite Sicilian flavours. Starting from $78, this menu includes grilled pumpkin and pickled mussel skewers, cavatelli with blue swimmer crab—a rich ricotta and Jerusalem artichoke gnocchi and lemon-infused slow-cooked goat.

To honour the famous Sicilian Couscous Festival, a special main course of couscous with red mullet, mussels and cuttlefish is also on offer. For dessert, indulge in a flavourful yet delicate almond milk pudding, or if you’re after a classic done well, opt for the perfectly crispy gold cannoli with ricotta and pistachio.

Mister Bianco marries punchy, memorable Sicilian flavours with the truly unique experience of having a beach at your literal doorstep. This slice of summer draws to a close this Saturday 26 June, so head on over.
