Melbourne’s Festival Dedicated To Cheese, MOULD, Is Coming Back In 2024

By

Cheese lovers, get excited because MOULD: A Cheese Festival is returning to Melbourne for two days of cheese, drinks and food from 28-29 June this year. The dairy-laden event comes to us from Revel, the team behind Pinot Palooza, and promises be bigger, smellier and more 'matured' than ever in 2024.

Featuring crumbly cheddar,  gooey camembert and bitey blue from over 27 of the best artisan producers around Australia, MOULD is much more than just a bunch of stalls selling the finest cheeses—it's a cheese experience. Attendees can meet with producers and sample dozens of cheeses in the name of garnering a greater appreciation and understanding of the art of cheesemaking. This year you can also sample exclusive cheeses created solely for the festival and unavailable anywhere else.

As well as tastings, MOULD also promises a full food menu of dishes from local cheesemongers, not to mention cheese-adjacent accoutrements like olives, crackers, conserves and smallgoods. And, naturally, where there is cheese there is wine, so there will also be a fully stocked bar for tasting a broad range of wines, vodkas, gins, beer, cider and even sakes. More details are coming so keep tabs on their website for updates as they roll out.

Considering MOULD usually sells out, you'll want to get in early to be sure of getting a ticket. Sessions are already on sale, with tickets at $49pp, which includes endless cheese tastings plus a complimentary cooler bag for whatever wedges you decide to buy—grab them here
