If you dive deep enough into the internet, there’s an international day, week or month for anything. Some are more trivial than others, but one that should be taken very seriously is Parmesan Wheel Week which kicks off at the end of the month.
Wondering where to celebrate such an event? Cucinetta is the place to be. They’re the team who brought you the 29 cheese gnocchi, and they’re coming in hot with Cacio e Pepe being served straight out of a giant parmesan wheel.
And this isn’t any wheel, it’s a Grana Padano 18-month aged wheel. A classic Italian-style flavour with the right amount of salty bite that’s paired up with Cucinetta’s pasta.
The hefty plate of pasta was originally conceived as a celebration of Parmesan Wheel Week (Monday 26 April through to Wednesday 8 May), but due to popular demand, Cucinetta is serving up this very special version of Cacio e Pepe from Monday 10 May until Sunday 23 May between 12pm and 3pm and 5pm until close—book your table at the South Yarra restaurant here.
