Since the 'ring of steel' was torn down, Melburnians have been out exploring regional Victoria again in massive numbers. And now there's even more reasons to do so, 200 reasons.
On Wednesday 11 November last year, Premier Daniel Andrews announced that the state government will offer 120,000 vouchers to Victorians worth $200 to spend in regional Victoria. The first of two rounds of vouchers were snapped up damn quick, and the third round are up for grabs on Tuesday 30 March at 10am.
Victorians will qualify for a voucher if they spend at least $400 on places to stay, tours, and attractions in a regional area.
"Whether it's a day trip with the family or a tour along our stunning coast, we're helping more people get out and enjoy the best Victoria has to offer," Andrews said.
The voucher scheme is part of a $465M tourism package that will be delivered in the upcoming state budget. It's expected the voucher scheme will be up and running for the summer holiday period.
You can apply for your $200 voucher here. That time again, is Tuesday 30 March at 10am—set an alarm.
