Prahran Market’s Sizzlefest—the multi-day celebration of the sausage and barbecue—returns this March over three days of grilling, smoking and barbecuing.
First things first, yes, the sausage tasting competition is returning, though it’ll look a little different this year. Running over three ticketed sessions, guests will be given a sample plate of snags to cast their vote before the winning saveloy (or similar) is crowned.
The snag tasting is of course just a small part of the fiery three-day festival. Punters can expect barbecue workshop from the likes of stalwarts in the space, the Cue Club, along with a reimagination of Prahran’s courtyard into a massive beer garden courtesy of Burnley Brewing.
The residents of Prahran Market will also be getting involved with one-off exclusives and demonstrations in the market’s kitchen.
Sizzlefest goes down on Friday 26 March right through to Sunday 28 March. Entry to the market is free, though some events will be ticket—snag yours here.
