Remember the Golden Square car park? Wipe it from your memory.
This spring, that concrete slab on Lonsdale Street is transforming into Spiegel Haus Melbourne, a dazzling, multi-level entertainment precinct and sprawling hub with a total capacity for 1000 patrons. It’s launching with two of the most talked-about shows in the world (but more on them below), and is designed to be your summer destination for a cack and a cocktail.
This new landmark is a sprawling hub with a total capacity for 1000 patrons. The vision has even captured the attention of the city's leadership, with Lord Mayor Nick Reese noting, "Even in a night-life capital like Melbourne, Spiegel Haus adds a slice of something special. We're looking forward to seeing a unique Spiegel-style entertainment precinct ripple through the CBD."
While the 380-capacity Belgian spiegeltent is their centrepiece, the precinct also boasts a 400-seat black box theatre and an open-air activation space, creating a dynamic new stage for the city's arts scene.
Up top, the rooftop dome bar will be pouring craft beers from Bodriggy Brewing Co. and slinging bites from Lil Lucha, the team behind Happy Mexican. Expect sunset drinks, live entertainment, and late-night vibes under the stars.
So, step inside the precinct's ornate travelling tent—a mirror-lined marvel straight out of a retro fantasy—and choose your adventure. Will it be the champagne-soaked delirium of Blanc de Blanc Encore or the intimate, mind-bending wonder of Maho Magic Bar?

It’s a grand blend of world-class circus, titillating comedy and live singing that unfolds around, above and amidst the audience. After record-breaking seasons from Sydney to London, this champagne-drenched celebration of vintage glamour is finally pouring its fizz on our home turf.
