We've all got a bit of spare time on our hands following the recent lockdown announcement. And there's no better way to spend that time than expanding your knowledge.

The State Library—like Melbourne's other cultural institutions—is closing up shop for the lockdown, but that doesn't mean you can't access the riches held within its walls right from your computer.

The library has more than 200,000 Ebooks available at your fingertips along with a range of journals and articles, and music also available for streaming.

SLV also has an array of amazing online galleries where you can explore Melbourne's past, and their Ask A Librarian service is still in play, even though the librarians are working remotely. Ask a librarian a curly question here.

You'll need to support the library and become a member—it's free—you can sign up here.

In the meantime, find out everything you need to know for the snap seven day lockdown here.
