No one enjoys paying the bills—it's one of those rude awakenings into Adulthood. Coming back after a very popular debut back in July 2022, the Victorian government's Power Saving Bonus is returning on Friday 24 March.
Alternatively, if you have yet to jump on board from the existing rebate, now is your chance with the refund still available until midnight on Thursday 23 March.
It's a simple process: upload a pdf copy of your bill, input your bank account details for the reimbursement and finally add proof of identity i.e. a recent bill, driver's license etc.
The price comparison will then provide you with a list of alternate providers based on your area and usage, which could help you lower your monthly costs.
The $250 power-saving bonus is part of the Labour government's initiative to drive down the cost of living across the state.
“We know Victorians are doing it tough with the rising cost of energy – that’s why we’ll have a new round of the $250 Power Saving Bonus, putting money in families’ pockets and making sure they’re on the best deal,” says Premier Daniel Andrews.
