Melbourne, you’ve made your feelings about square burgers pretty clear. After a record-breaking debut in Dandenong South, Wendy’s is coming back for seconds—and this time, Seaford’s getting the goods.

The American burger institution has confirmed its second Melbourne restaurant will open this October, bringing another drive-thru to the south-east, along with its signature square patties, hand-breaded chicken tenders and spoon-worthy Frostys.

And when we say record-breaking, we mean it. According to Wendy’s, the Dandenong South restaurant clocked the biggest opening week in the brand’s global history. Almost 20,000 burgers, more than 30,000 chicken tenders and over 6,500 Frostys went out the door in seven days. Clearly, Melbourne was hungry.

Here’s what we know about round two.

When Is Wendy’s Opening In Seaford?

Wendy’s Seaford is set to open in October 2026, with the exact opening date and trading hours still to be announced. Launch celebrations are also in the works, so keep an eye out for more details before plotting your first burger run.

You’ll find the new restaurant at 300 Frankston-Dandenong Road, Seaford, continuing the brand’s expansion through Melbourne’s south-east.

There’ll be dine-in, takeaway and drive-thru service, giving you a few ways to get your hands on those famously geometric burgers.

What’s On The Menu At Wendy’s Seaford?

The signatures are coming with it. Expect Wendy’s square hamburgers made with fresh, never frozen Australian beef, alongside freshly hand-breaded chicken tenders and Hot & Crispy Fries.

And yes, the Frosty is on the list. The chain’s signature frozen dessert has developed a following of its own, whether you’re firmly in the spoon camp or partial to dipping your fries. We’ll leave that one with you.

This will also be Melbourne’s second Wendy’s drive-thru, following the Australian debut of the format in Dandenong South.

The brand has made face-to-face ordering part of its local offering, with crew taking orders directly from customers. At Dandenong South, that means staff out in the lanes with handheld tablets, so you can talk through your order with an actual person.

Anything Else I Should Know?

Seaford is another step towards Wendy’s goal of opening approximately 200 restaurants across Australia over the next decade. Judging by the response to its first Victorian outpost, there’s no shortage of people ready to put the menu through its paces.

For now, pencil in an October visit to 300 Frankston-Dandenong Road. We’ll update you when the opening date and launch details land.
