Celebrating ten years, Healesville Sanctuary’s popular Wine and Wildlife event is back again for a winter weekend in the Yarra Valley. There will be ten Yarra Valley producers catering the event, with wine, beer and gin available, as well as some hearty meals and live music.
Big-name wineries joining the fun will be Zonzo Estate, Innocent Bystander and Oakridge Wines alongside local beer legends Watts River Brewing. The event will also have a pop-up Cellars Gin Bar to keep the drinks flowing and serve up those much-needed winter meals.
The Koala Picnic Lawn will be dotted with teepees and open fires, as well as a bonfire to sit by while live musicians soundtrack your evening. You’ll also be given a reusable, BPA-free wine glass to use throughout the evening as you meander through the sanctuary’s beautiful bushland and view the wildlife centre’s public gallery.
Funds raised from the event will help Healesville Sanctuary continue the amazing work they do at their wildlife hospital—one of the largest in Australia. As one of the key Koala rehabilitators following last year’s bushfires, their work is well worth raising a glass to.
Zoo members can nab tickets for just $5, while non-member tickets are available for $50, but kids under fifteen years can enter for free. It all happens on Saturday 24 July and Sunday 25 July from 10.30am to 4.30pm for tastings. Get your tickets here.
