The Verdict:
From the team behind popular CBD bar Riverland, Astroluxe is the latest gem to join the Bentleigh East food scene. With a focus on wholesome, nutritious, and delicious food, Astroluxe is brings a breath of fresh air into the Chesterville Road shopping strip.
Owners Tanya and Stu Billard wanted a change of pace to a more family friendly environment, and saw Bentleigh East as being full of potential. Together with Adam Nicholl (a previous team member at Pillar of Salt), the three paired up with Robson Rak, an architectural and interior-design firm, to create a space filled with light and flecks of colour, with blue tartan booths, custom light fittings and marble as far as the eye can see. With a seasonal menu and serving Prana Chai (made in Bentleigh) and 5 Senses Coffee, Astroluxe has certainly become a big winner with the locals. Expect to see classic breakfast dishes such as Smashed Avo, Eggs Benedict and Bircher as well as seasonal features in their all day breakfast menu. Their lunch menu features a delicious array of hearty burgers and filling healthy salads. Kids are satisfied with dishes such as 'Green Eggs and Ham' and their pancakes.
