The Verdict
Following the (obsessive) demand of Royal Stack’s flagship store on Collins Street, the burger team have bought their addictively fresh burgers to Brunswick. Paying homage to Sydney Road’s heritage, the second Royal Stacks burger joint boasts halal-friendly options and middle-eastern inspired frozen custard. Think rosewater and pistachio, baklava, and kanafah from St Kilda-based 7 Apples. Tick, tick boom!
Brought to you by Dani (of Dandenong Pavilion, Easey’s, Grand Trailer Park Taverna and Truck Stop Deluxe renown), Royal Stacks draws inspo from US hits Shake Shack and In-N-Out Burger, with a local twist.
The patties at Royal Stacks (minced fresh daily from pasture fed, 100% Australian, GMO-free beef dontchaknow) are perfectly plump and juicy, making these some of the best burgers in Melbourne. This is pretty much burger heaven in Melbourne, and everyone is welcome.
