Auckland is coming in hot this weekend (even if the weather may not be) with heaps of awesome events that will tickle your fancy. From street food markets, to funky music festivals and outdoor activities, there’s something for everyone! Here are 11 events you have to get your butt along to!

Splore is an epic boutique festival made up of a whole lotta glitter, music, dancing, art and good vibes. A little quirkier then your traditional music festival, Splore introduces a zero waste initiative and has awesome activities such as laughter yoga and arts and craft workshops. You know you don’t want FOMO, so round up your gang, get your crazy costume together and enjoy one of the best weekends of the year.

Hot Brown Honey

If you thought Beyoncé was sassy, you ain't seen nothing yet! There’s a new queen bee(s) in town and they’re rocking the stage in the smashing cabaret, Hot Brown Honey. The posse of fierce women (aka the Honeys) will make you cry, clap and shake what your mama gave ya as they fight the power! The confronting show is a mash-up of dance, poetry, comedy, striptease, song and even beatboxing!

Green Bay Street Food Festival

Calling all foodies! Come and get down at one of the grooviest little food festivals around. This Friday’s food truck line-up includes The Rolling Pin dumplings, The Fab Truck crêpes, Gozleme Turkish flat breads and more! Live music, food trucks, fun activities and a zero waste initiative…what’s not to love?

Cinema Peroni

If you’re a fan of all things Italian, Cinema Peroni is the place to be this Friday night! The pop-up outdoor cinema will take over Britomart’s Takutai Square where guests will be treated to a star-lit screening of La Pazza Gioia (Like Crazy). Peroni-inspired cocktails will be following and the al freco event will be complemented with an Italian-inspired eats.

Highlife | Sounds Of Summer

Sounds Of Summer is kicking off Saturday night the right way with groovy beats, a stunning location along Takapuna beach and a specialised production like no other. Waiheke Snorkel Day

Make your way over to Enclosure Bay to explore the waters around Waiheke Island. Kinda like a real life Finding Nemo, you may be able to spot some fishy friends such as parore, goatfish and snapper! All you need to bring is your wetsuit and snorkeling gear but if you don’t own these things, you can hire them for free. Win-win really?

Land Rover NZ Polo Open

Although we may not 100% understand the rules of polo, the Land Rover NZ Polo Open is a fab social and sporting day out that can’t be missed. We’re especially excited for the car vs pony horsepower race and the famous Fashion On The Field fashion show. Rock up in your finest gears and let the drinks flow right into the official after-party where you can celebrate with the polo stars. Count us in!
