This weekend is all about eat, drink and play in the City of Sails!  Friday night drinks have never looked so good after this dreary weekend, and that’s the perfect way to kick off these chock-a-block three days ahead of us.

The weekend’s forecast includes secret bar, a spectacular circus, a festival for chocolate and coffee just to name a few—this weekend is full steam ahead!

Cirque Du Soleil: Toruk—The First Flight

The circus legends are back and you’re not going to want to miss this one! Whether its your first Cirque experience or your fifth, see the stunning show in a new light. Inspired by James Cameron’s Avatar, Toruk will transport you to the world of Pandora as it comes to life. You will journey through a storytelling odyssey in a world of imagination, discovery and possibility. Cutting edge visuals, puppetry, stagecraft and an epic cinematic score will have you on the edge of your seats at this beautiful circus reimagined.

Secret Piano Bar

This pop-up bar is part of Auckland Live’s International Cabaret Season, and it’s oh-so secret. You might have thought your night was done and dusted once the curtain dropped at your fabulous cabaret—you’re totally mistaken. Head along to Q Theatre to find the secret Piano Bar, which you can only access with your password received at the show. Party on!

Flash Day

Nothing like a spontaneous tattoo right? Dreamhands is hosting a flash day and knowing them, there’s going to be some stellar intricate pieces of art ready for inking. There’s some sick psychedelic work and elaborate mandalas up for grabs so far that would look rad as a first tattoo or a tenth. Each artist will be coming up with some flash, and it’s first in first served so if you see something you fancy—you know where to be at 11am!
