A Streetcar Named Desire

This is the jewel in Silo Theatre’s 20th birthday crown! One of the most celebrated plays of the 20th century, whether it's your first or fiftieth time, you best go see it. A contemporary take on Tennessee Williams’ devastating masterpiece, the violent portrayal of femininity, masculinity and sexuality still feels powerful in its exploration of desire and domestic brutality.

Matilda the Musical

A little genius is coming to Auckland, in the form of Matila the Musical. This multi-award winning musical from the Royal Shakespeare Company, inspired by the beloved book by Roald Dahl, will be sure to blow you away. German Film Festival

Japanese Film Festival

Experience Japanese culture through the magic of film. Back again for another stellar year of laughs, tears and maybe a bit of craziness, there’s ten Japanese films for you to catch in the first weekend of September. From a heart-wrenching drama, a high school flick, samurais, dysfunctional families, and a whole lotta love stories—you’re bound to find the Japanese flick you didn’t know you needed. Italian Film Festival

Taiwan Day 2017

Pinot Palooza

Get your glasses ready! The Pinot Noir festival of your dreams is hitting Auckland and it's here to make waves. No Barriers: Intelligence—Man or Machine

Shimmy Shake n Bake—Finger Lickin’ Good Burlesque Show

Sabato Market Day

Sabato transforms into a hot-spot of gourmet food trucks, sweet treats, in-store specials and more on Market Day. Cheesemonger Calum will be cracking whole wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano (don’t miss this one). Food trucks will be keeping you well fed all day long, including fresh fries from Double Dutch Fries, Very Good Dumplings and Judge Bao. Ellerslie Spring Fairy Festival and Pirate Party

Welcome spring with the kids as the fairies come to Ellerslie. There’ll be a Peter Pan show, and free activities for the kids including face painting. Get them dressed up in their best costumes and snap a photo with the roaming fairies and pirates. Walk through the fairy door and into the pirate treasure trails through Ellerslie Town Centre and see what magic you can find. Select cafes will also be offering special fairy morning teas to munch over while the kids write some letters and pop them into the Fairy Mail Box.
