5 Things To Do In Auckland This Week

Guess what team…it’s September! But don’t freak. We know we’re zooming through the year crazy quick, but the bright side is: it’s finally spring. If warmer weather, longer days in the sun and the fact we’re close to Christmas doesn’t excite you, then maybe this week’s events will.

Monday 4th September

Laugh Lines

Lumsden Freehouse

Start your week off with a good laugh. Down at the Lumseden you’ll find Tim Batt hosting a night of comedic acts sure to keep you giggling and grinning till the wee hours. Grab some mates and some beers you’re in for a treat. It’s the perfect cure for the classic Mondayitis (we hear a holiday to Hawaii also does the trick, but you know...)

Tuesday 5th September

Monday’s Music

Monday’s, Kingsland

If mulled wines at Monday’s sound like you, this is the place you wanna be: a night filled with fresh beats from some of Auckland University’s talented first-year pop music students. You’ll get a taste of some of the best upcoming musicians Auckland’s got to offer. Entry is free, and good tunes are guaranteed.

Wednesday 6th September

Tory Lanez

Auckland Town Hall

Breakout R&B star Tory Lanez is hitting Auckland this week.  Known for his smooth slicking beats, he’s been busy playing it big at Coachella and Bonnaroo. This is his first time in New Zealand, and with one show only in Auckland, it’s hand’s down your must-see gig this week.

Thursday 7th September

Vegan Tuck Stop

La Cigale French Market & Bistro

One thing everyone loves is a good food truck. And what’s better than a food truck? How about eight of them together, delivering delicious vegan goods. Carb up with the likes of Double Dutch Fries and Wise Boys Burgers, or sweeten it a bit with Lalele’s gelato sticks. Whatever you think veganism lacks, these food trucks will prove your wrong.

All Week

Little Bird Goodness

Little Bird Unbakery Ponsonby

This September, the team at Little Bird are teaming up with your favourite celebrity chefs to create some epic plant-based dishes. Changing weekly, Nadia Lim’s delicious kelp noodles and oyster mushrooms will be taking over the menu this week. Curious? We sure are! Hit up Little Bird at Ponsonby to get your green goods.
