Alice Rich

Contributor & Former Editor | Urban List NZ

Alice in a sunflower field

Alice has been spilling her secrets about Tāmaki Makaurau for Urban List readers since 2021, continuing to contribute even when she was gallivanting around the world. With over a decade of experience in content, copywriting, editing and digital media, she sure knows how to wield a word and can tone-twist in a way that makes a packet of twisties look sloppy. She’s also that unhinged personal trainer (find her at STRONG Pilates).

In 2024 she put her passport away for safe-keeping and spent 12 months as the Editor of Urban List New Zealand. But nomad runs in her blood (alongside an ungodly amount of matcha) and that’s seen her return to contributing once more, focusing on health and wellness, food, sustainable fashion, and, in a twist that’ll surprise nobody, travel.

When she’s not setting her keyboard on fire, whipping up eyeball-grabbing reels, or being death stared by pilates clients for her “creative counting,” you’ll find her wandering around art exhibitions, watching a gig at Basement Theatre or prepping her backpack for her next big trip.

Auckland’s Best Running Clubs To Join

As the adage goes, if the zombie apocalypse comes after leg day, the ‘fittest’ will be the first ones to go. That said, when your survival odds rest on your ability to head for the hills (and actually make it there), it makes sense to put the leg work in today.
