A Street Food Festival Is Happening This Weekend In Auckland

These days, the best kind of food comes straight from the streets. Whether it’s a cart, caravan or truck—these tiny, portable kitchens seem to be pumping out some of the best food in town. This weekend, Auckland’s finest street food vendors, along with some restaurants eager to make a mark in the street food sector, are coming together for an unmissable street food extravaganza!

Returning to Shed 10 this Saturday, Auckland Street Eats will bring together the best of Auckland’s street food scene. The sights, smells and not to mention TASTES of fresh, fast and fabulous food are what make this an unmissable day for any fellow foodie.

Back for its fourth year, this one-day-only event is sure to invigorate ALL the senses in an explosion of international flavour. Take a trip around the world with influences from Thailand, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Spain, and more. There’ll be more than 80 dishes served up from 30 different restaurants and food trucks. The hardest part will be deciding what to try!

If that wasn’t enough, you’ll also get the chance to get your groove on with a live band featuring local talents Siobahn Leilani, Superhero Second Line, Creative Souls Project, The Miltones, and Third Gordon Trio.

If you prefer more of a liquid diet on a Saturday, fear not as there will be plenty of bars fully stocked and serving ice cold craft beer from Renaissance Brewing and Stiegl, wonderful Babich wines, and Nautilus bubbles. Wash down your street food finds with your favourite drink!

The whole day is family friendly with bouncy castles and face painting to keep the kids entertained. So bring the whole family for a fun filled day out to remember!
