F.A.W.C, The Divine Food And Wine Festival Is Coming To Hawkes Bay This Winter

The Hawke’s Bay Food and Wine Classic (F.A.W.C for those in the know) is back for another year offering people a taste of the region’s delectable eats.  

The region has it all, from world-class wineries, art deco architecture and fantastic local food. It’s a culinary destination in New Zealand you can’t miss. Head along to the winter F.A.W.C to sink your teeth into all the tasty tidbits the mighty Hawke’s Bay has to offer. It brings excitement to the colder months with more than 40 events held over four weekends in June.  

Sip up a storm at a wine degustation evening, head along to a luxurious chef’s table dinner, relax at a wellness day retreat or try your hand at truffle hunting. There’s something for every taste bud at this festival.

Havelock North’s Giant Brewery and Public House are holding a hearty Sunday brunch. The legends at Black Barn and Asian Diner are dishing up Freddy’s Cook-a-Chook, which combines fiery Korean fried chicken with smooth beats from Fat Freddy’s Drop’s Chopper Reeds. The team at Mission Estate is inviting passionate foodies to discover a range of beautifully cooked game meat in their event Are you Game?. There’s also the chance to learn about Gin as Hygge are showcasing Fireside Ginstronomy, a tale of food and gin.   

This year some of the region’s epic eateries are offering a special Winter F.A.W.C deal throughout the month of June. You’ll get to indulge in delicious food with each dish made from at least 90 percent locally-sourced ingredients. Hawke’s Bay isn’t short of stunning local establishments to eat your way around.  

Head along to the F.A.W.C. between June 4-6, June 11-13, June 18-20 and June 25-27. Tickets range from $50 to $295, with plenty of walk-up events planned! It is set to be an exciting month featuring the very best of Hawke’s Bay, Food and Wine Country.
