Party Venues In Auckland That Are Actually Good

Whether you’re planning a big birthday or a special shindig, only the best will do. Because we’re about nothing but the best, we’ve got you covered! From secluded wine-infused venues to all out rock-your-socks-off destinations, we’ve got it all.

For a fun time guaranteed, check out our round-up of Auckland’s best party venues.

Cable Bay

Waiheke Island

In one of Auckland’s best locations with incredible views, you’ll find Cable Bay. Situated on Waiheke in one of the island’s top vineyards, this is the ultimate party venue for those evenings that deserve a little more elegance. Sit on plush beanbags while soaking in the views (wine and snacks at the handy!), or head indoors for a true dining experience. Whether you’ve got a small or large group, trust us when we say that you’ll never, ever want to get back on that ferry. So pop on your favourite dress and indulge in some of Auckland’s most lust-worthy scenes and celebrate with your favourite people.

The Caker

Karangahape Road

If drunken party scenes don’t agree with you, The Caker offers the perfect boutique venue that is the embodiment of glamour. Think baby pink walls, floral arrangements, the finest finger food and of course—a whole lot of cake. For those soon-to-be mothers, we’re thinking this is the ideal spot for a treasured baby shower. Or feeling a little inspired by Legally Blonde? This is for you. It helps that the owner Jordan Rondel is an absolute gem! She’s sure to spoil you and your posy if you opt for this one.

Little Easy

A popular choice among local partiers, Little Easy is your go-to venue for a night of ridiculousness. We’re talking a hefty dose of alcohol, banger after banger on the d-floor and a few too many drunken yarns shared on the patio. It’s very common to see the upstairs area hired out for a 21st, but thanks to a few golden rules, it then opens to the general public from 11pm—meaning mixing and mingling with novel groups of people just got a whole lot easier. However, if it’s just a cheeky afternoon bevvy you’re after, grab a seat and order one of the gourmet burgers that the menu has to offer. Pro tip: if people-watching is ya thing, grab a seat outside next to one of the cosy heat pumps and watch the Pons locals as they partake in their daily grind.

46 & York

This venue has a well-deserved reputation around town as the ultimate spot for a vino or a pint of excellent beer. It’s luxurious in appearance and the service is impeccable so don’t hesitate in putting your full trust in the team at 46 & York. Champagne showers anyone? The Moet ice buckets are the perfect celebratory treat. If you’re out for an occasion, the private dining area makes a superb choice. With ample space, this is the spot to drink slurp-worthy cocktails and enjoy top-notch nibbles on your special day! We love heading here in the summertime, popping our shades on and soaking up those good vibes.

Neck Of The Woods

Karangahape Road

Getting down on the d-floor is inevitable at a party, let’s admit it. Whether you’re two spritzers down or not, it’s bound to happen. Where better to exhaust those dance moves than at one of Auckland’s top party venues, Neck Of The Woods? Complete with not one but two bars, disposable DJ and stage, you’re in for an absolute cracker! Be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled for any up and coming events too. This location is renowned for hosting your favourite low-key performers. What’s best, they won’t break the bank.

The Vodka Room

Grey Lynn

Ummm, did somebody say karaoke! The Vodka Room is the ultimate spot for a night out with your besties—because who else would you rather sing Forever by Chris Breezy with at 2am in the morning?! This ain’t your typical karaoke joint, however. This one is oozing with class—I know, you never thought the two could go together, but somehow, they’ve pulled it off with ease. Book a private room, grab yourself a mic and a strong vodka tonic and get singing! When you’re done, you’re already in the heart of the fun so head over to a fellow Ponsonby nightclub and continue the night. Onwards and upwards, friends!

Auckland CBD

This has recently become a popular choice amongst party-goers due to the option to hire out a booth upstairs with VIP treatment for the evening. With a view of the d-floor downstairs, watch everyone bust their moves and pick and choose your time to join them. Tired of dancing? Cruise back upstairs to your private posy and continue the banter with your loyal crew. Everybody’s provides a gorgeous setting for the evening, and in central CBD, you’re never far from those 3am Burger Burger feeds—score!

The Jefferson

Auckland CBD

The Jefferson is Auckland’s superior underground whiskey institution. Focusing on all things bourbon, the experts have created a space worthy of a party or two. Choose to hire out the whole space or an enclosed section for your special occasion. With various packages to choose from, The Jefferson will make for an enjoyable event for sure. Especially with the ever-changing pop-ups that the team successfully host—currently they’re taking us back to the 70s with ‘Funk Train’. Think flared jeans, vibrant colours and irresistible soulful music. For drinks, they’re offering all the classics from a pina colada to a good ol’ harvey wallbanger.

Monday’s Eatery

For a little slice of heaven, bring your party to this Kingsland gem. Monday’s is a vine-dripped eatery with an incredibly divine space for hire. Perfect for around 50 to 80 people, the cosy cafe and courtyard makes for a great choice. With catering on hand along with drinks and piccies aplenty, look no further, friends. Considering the parties located at a wholefoods spot, it’s no surprise the nibbles are on the healthier side—meaning your tum will thank you in the morning for not devouring those naughty (but delicious) sausage rolls smothered in tomato sauce!
