We’re all well acquainted with the bottomless brunch concept—it’s not quite breakfast, not quite lunch but it is the perfect excuse to get your pals together and enjoy a good old weekend session. But if there’s one thing we haven’t seen before, it’s a bottomless brunch inspired by the vibrancy, flavours and good vibes found in Mexico... until now.
Margo’s, Queenstown’s hottest new Mexican Restaurant and Bar has launched a new bottomless brunch just in time for Summer, and we’re not lying when we say we’re bloody pumped for this one. The eatery, which normally just serves up dinner, has been making waves in Queenstown’s culinary scene since its opening in August and we can’t wait to experience its delicious Mexican-fusion cuisine in the form of brunch #sold.
Head chef, Matt Tobin has crafted a flavourful menu that will make all your brunch dreams come true – think buttermilk fried chicken chilaquiles (lightly fried corn tortillas) topped with a fried egg, chorizo and potato brekkie burritos with scrambled eggs and vegan options like jackfruit tinga tlayuda (a traditional Mexican pizza) with guacamole. There’s something to tickle everyone’s fancy!
And, of course it wouldn’t be a bottomless brunch without a tipple or two. With prosecco, mimosas and rosé sangria (yep, you heard it here first) all taking a place on the drinks list they’ll never get us to leave. The legends behind the bar have also crafted some tasty mocktails, including a passionfruit sour (our fave) and an apple, ginger and cucumber concoction – and of course, there are soft drinks at the ready too.
From the vibrant street-art filled interior, to the outdoor terrace where you can bask in the sunshine (sombreros optional) the vibe is always on point at this joint.
So how can you get involved in this bottomless feed of South American flavour? From Saturday 9 January they’ll be launching brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11am-3pm—with the option to upgrade to bottomless, yes please! Book your table here.
