Resene Architecture & Design Film Festival

Is your Pinterest board nothing but dreamy #interiorporn? Have you laid out your dream home from floor to ceiling, corner to corner? You better listen up, 'cause this mini-festival is just for you so you best catch the final days of it this weekend! Rialto Cinemas is bringing you the film fest of your dreams, covering all aspects of design, the world’s finest architects and the practice from concept to craft. VITAL Body Worlds

The controversial Body Worlds Show has finally hit Auckland, so it’s time to get in touch with your mortality… morbid, gory or riveting—whatever way you put it, this is one rare opportunity to see the human body like never before. Showcasing real human remains preserved through plastination, you’ll see everything from the likes of a dancer and athlete, to organs, blood vessels and body slices. Body Worlds might send shivers down your spine, but the founders’ aim is to get you to think about your body and keep it healthy for many years to come.

Te Radar: Antarcticana

This unique and hilarious perspective comes after his boat ride to Antarctica, as Te Radar brings you an illustrated comedic lecture on all things the Antarctic. Expect an hour of laughing ‘til you cry, as he looks back on the heroism and humour that have shaped the icy continent’s history, the odd flora and fauna and even odder folk who have ventured into the coldest place on earth. You’ll be transported into this journey, with photographs, maps, films to show what you know about Antarctica is just the tip of the iceberg.

Auckland’s fave comedy improv troupe is back to create some chaos, and they’re bringing some friends! Cheeky, topical and relentlessly silly, this is an hour packed with high-energy, fast0faced scenes all in the name of improve. Featuring your fave local comedians, the lineup includes Rose Matafeo, Laura Daniel, Alice Snedden, Guy Montgomery and more!
