The Coach Coffee Shop

If there's one place that knows a thing or two about New York sandwiches, it's The Coach Coffee Shop at Resorts World Sentosa. The all-day menu is packed with American comfort food favourites, but the standout has to be the Fully Loaded Reuben—a hefty stack of tender corned beef, homemade sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing tucked between slices of house-made rye sourdough, with pickles and crispy chips on the side. If you're after something a little lighter, there's also a regular Reuben with a single serving of corned beef.

The Grilled Cheese is another must-order, layering American cheddar, gruyère and extra sharp cheddar with sweet caramelised onions between thick slices of house-made sourdough before it's grilled until perfectly golden. True to its New York roots, it's served with a comforting bowl of tomato soup for dunking.

Bagels absolutely count as sandwiches, and nobody proves it better than Two Men Bagel House. This homegrown favourite has built a cult following over the past decade with its wildly creative bagelwiches, served across five locations in Tanjong Pagar, Novena, Holland Village, Joo Chiat and Punggol. Expect fillings that go well beyond the usual cream cheese and smoked salmon.

The menu is packed with fan favourites, including the Sunday Best, stacked with a fennel pork patty, sunny-side-up egg, hash brown, onion marmalade, double cheddar and garlic aioli. The Luxe elevates the classic salmon bagel with scallion cream cheese, capers, pickled cucumber and red onion, while the sweet-and-savoury Kayago combines smoked chicken ham, chicken floss, kaya, smoked mayo and fluffy scrambled eggs. If you're feeling creative, you can also build your own bagelwich by choosing from six freshly baked bagels and a huge selection of fillings, schmears and sauces.

Inspired by Australia's thriving sandwich scene, Between Buns has grown from a home-based passion project into one of Tanjong Pagar's go-to spots for seriously good sandwiches. Expect everything from toasted sourdough and pillowy brioche to crispy schiacciata loaded with bold, flavour-packed fillings.

The menu is stacked with standouts, including the Oxtail Melt, filled with 12-hour braised oxtail, cheese, pickles and fermented chilli mayo, and the French Dip, layering tender beef, caramelised onions, provolone and roasted peppers with a rich gravy on the side for dunking. The signature Fried Chicken sandwich is another crowd favourite, while vegetarians are well catered for with creative options like the Roasted Broccolini, featuring charred broccolini, stracciatella, tahini and red pesto, and the Cauliflower Caesar, packed with crispy kale, Parmesan and a vibrant green herb sauce.

If focaccia is your love language, make a beeline for Mamma Mia Focaccia. Singapore's first focaccia-focused deli serves long-fermented, olive oil-rich sandwiches stuffed with premium Italian ingredients, all from a cosy grab-and-go spot that also happens to hide The Champagnery speakeasy out the back. Better yet, the sandwiches double as bar bites if you're settling in for bubbles.

The menu features 10 signature focaccia sandwiches, available in full or half sizes. The namesake Mamma Mia is a must, layered with mortadella Bologna IGP, stracchino pistachio cream and pistachio shavings, while the Cotto pairs cooked ham with truffle cream, stracchino and mesclun. Vegetarians should order the Vegetariano, packed with grilled zucchini, artichokes, mascarpone, pickled onions and tomatoes, and if you're craving dessert, the Nutella focaccia-loaded with Nutella, pistachio cream, mascarpone and crushed pistachios-is every bit as indulgent as it sounds.

Since launching in 2019, homegrown favourite Korio has earned a loyal following for its seriously satisfying gourmet sandwiches. Founded by husband-and-wife duo Myron and Shaz, the brand now has outlets at IOI Central Boulevard (#01-11) and Guoco Midtown II (#01-21), while its signature sandwiches are also served at Rally Clubhouse.

The menu is packed with hits, from the indulgent Grilled Cheese layered with gruyère, cheddar, mozzarella, caramelised onions and basil, served alongside a spicy tomato basil dip, to the Chook, filled with roast chicken salad, brie, smashed avocado and hot sauce. But if you're only ordering one, make it the Jambon Beurre—a beautifully simple combination of smoked ham, salted butter, house pickles, mustard mayo and Parmigiano Reggiano tucked inside a crusty French baguette that proves less really can be more.

There are plenty of winners on the menu, but the Chicken Schnitzel is a standout, layering crispy panko-fried chicken thigh with melted cheese, fried capers, lettuce and smoky chipotle aioli on toasted sourdough. The Salt Brisket Reuben is another must-order, packed with tender salted brisket, Swiss cheese, braised red cabbage and Russian dressing, while the Cubano delivers slow-cooked pulled pork, smoked ham, three cheeses and pickled jalapeños in a perfectly toasted sandwich. Seafood lovers should also try the Tuna Melt, featuring Sarnies' house-made tuna salad topped with bubbling melted cheese.

Classic options include the Egg Salad Sandwich, Tuna Melt and Wasabi Egg Mayo Sandwich, while heartier picks like the Chilli Chicken Sourdough Sandwich are loaded with sliced chicken, crispy bacon, roasted peppers, rocket and a sweet-spicy raisin chutney mayo. If you're after something a little more indulgent, the Brie & Roasted Mushroom Croissant pairs creamy brie with earthy mushrooms and wholegrain mustard, while the Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Croissant is a timeless favourite done right.

The standout has to be the Yemeni Fried Chicken Sandwich, stacking crispy spiced fried chicken with fried eggplant, house-made harissa, cured lemon mayo and buttery toasted brioche. The Classic Grilled Reuben is another winner, layering house-made beef pastrami with sauerkraut, melted Emmental and Russian dressing on rye, while cheese lovers shouldn't miss the Deluxe Cheese Sandwich, which combines Comté and Emmental with tangy kimchi and a drizzle of honey on perfectly grilled sourdough.
