Ocean Dreams: The Ultimate Staycay For Little Ones
If your kids think aquariums are cool, wait till they find out they can sleep in one. The Singapore Oceanarium has just relaunched its fan-favourite Ocean Dreams—an upgraded overnight glamping experience where families can spend the night surrounded by majestic manta rays, glowing jellyfish, and over 100,000 marine friends. Running across select weekends from November to December 2025, it’s the ultimate school holiday adventure.
This isn’t your average sleepover. Think plush air-conditioned tents complete with soft bedding, snack baskets, and twinkly ambient lighting all set against the breathtaking Open Ocean Zone. Little explorers will love the kid-friendly touches too: a cosy activity corner filled with storybooks, marine-themed board games, and artsy crafts like badge-making and colouring sheets. Every family also gets a cute take-home pouch with ocean-themed socks, eye masks, and lanyards to remember the night by.

Beyond the dreamy setup, Ocean Dreams sneaks in plenty of learning through fun, hands-on adventures. Expect guided after-hours tours that reveal behind-the-scenes secrets—from watching aquarists prep food for sharks and rays to peeking into coral labs and the top of the Ocean Habitat. There are even special encounters where kids can see animal feedings up close and ask questions directly to the Oceanarium’s care specialists.
And because no glamping trip is complete without good food, the experience comes with a gourmet dinner buffet, midnight snack basket, and hearty breakfast to fuel the next morning’s exploration. Each session is limited to just 10 family tents ($1,800 for up to four people) and one luxe dome ($3,800 for up to eight), so you’ll want to book early to snag a spot.
Whether your little ones dream of being marine biologists or you’re just looking for an unforgettable staycation that’ll outshine any regular hotel, Ocean Dreams is where ocean magic meets family bonding.
