If squeezing into Marina Bay isn’t on your NYE bingo card this year, good news: Singapore’s bringing the party straight to the neighbourhoods. The ONE Countdown celebrations are popping up across the island with fireworks, performances and full-blown community vibes, so you can ring in 2026 without the downtown chaos. But if chaos is your thing, we have all the details on the Marina Bay Countdown and the best parties to hit up here.

Here’s everywhere you can catch heartland fireworks (and even a drone show) on New Year’s Eve, complete with the nearest MRT for the easiest possible getaway home.

WEST

Boon Lay

Happening at the hardcourt beside Blk 215 Boon Lay Place and an easy walk from Boon Lay MRT, this is one of the West’s biggest neighbourhood countdowns. Expect a proper community bash with fireworks at midnight, stage entertainment and plenty of family-friendly energy.

Keat Hong (Choa Chu Kang)

If you’re in CCK or Bukit Panjang, this is your go-to. The celebration takes over the hardcourt next to Keat Hong CC, accessible via Choa Chu Kang MRT and a short LRT hop. Think fireworks, performances and a lively carnival atmosphere.

NORTH

Marsiling

Just minutes from Marsiling MRT, the field near Woodlands Secondary School turns into a buzzy community countdown zone. You’ll get fireworks, music and a cosy, neighbourhood feel without the crush of a city crowd.

Nee Soon (Yishun)

The Nee Soon celebrations — centred around FutsalArena @ Yishun and nearby grounds — serve up fireworks, live performances and a big turn-out from the North. Yishun MRT is the nearest major stop, with buses taking you straight in.

Woodlands (Drone Show)

Over at Woodlands Waterfront Park, fireworks make way for a drone show this year. It’s still a stunning spot for a midnight spectacle, with a breezy waterfront vibe and easy access from Woodlands MRT via bus.

NORTH-EAST

Punggol

One Punggol’s Celebration Square and the adjacent open field host a full-scale countdown with fireworks at midnight. It’s a 3–5 minute stroll from Punggol MRT, and you can expect DJs, performances and a seriously energetic crowd.

EAST

Tampines

Our Tampines Hub pulls huge numbers every NYE — and for good reason. With direct access from Tampines MRT and fireworks lighting up the sky at midnight, it’s one of the most convenient and activity-packed celebrations in the heartlands.

When It All Happens And What To Expect

  • Countdown activities generally kick off from 7pm or 8pm, running right through to just after midnight.
  • Fireworks (or drones at Woodlands) hit exactly at 12am.
  • Arrive early if you want prime viewing (especially at Tampines and Punggol).
  • Expect a mix of live performances, family-friendly activities, carnival games/booths, and festive community vibes not just fireworks.
  • Most of these events are free / community-based so are more casual and relaxed than the downtown crowd crush. Be sure to check which events require tickets or pre-event signup.

Before You Head Out

  • Check which heartland site is nearest to you to minimise travel time.
  • Arrive early to catch performances and secure a good spot.
  • Bring some refreshments and a mat or something to sit on as many heartland grounds are more like open courts or fields than formal event venues.
  • Double-check the latest updates via the official channel for People’s Association (PA) in case things change, especially for drone/fireworks announcements.
