You Can Now Snorkel With Manta Rays And Sharks At Singapore Oceanarium
Fancy getting up close with manta rays, sharks and schools of fish without heading out to sea? Resorts World Sentosa has launched PADI Discover Snorkelling at Singapore Oceanarium, billed as Singapore’s only snorkelling experience in an oceanarium setting. Designed for beginners aged 10 and above, the 90-minute experience lets you explore the aquarium’s impressive Open Ocean Habitat, with no prior swimming, snorkelling or diving experience required.
The programme combines an introduction to snorkelling skills with insights into marine ecosystems and ocean conservation, making it a good option for families and curious ocean lovers looking to try something new. You’ll get to observe marine life from the water’s surface while learning more about the underwater world, with the experience also serving as a potential stepping stone towards more advanced dive training.
The launch coincides with Singapore Oceanarium’s accreditation as a PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Dive Resort, recognising its standards in diver education, safety and professional development. The accreditation means guests can explore a range of programmes at the venue, from their first snorkelling experience to internationally recognised diving qualifications.
Already comfortable underwater? Singapore Oceanarium also offers guided Open Ocean Dive and Shark Dive experiences for certified divers, alongside beginner-friendly scuba sessions, the PADI Open Water Diver Course and shark conservation training. There are also refresher programmes for certified divers looking to brush up on their skills before their next underwater adventure.
PADI Discover Snorkelling costs $109 per person, including a one-day admission ticket to Singapore Oceanarium. Bookings are available through the Singapore Oceanarium website.
