Smash Street Is About To Blow Up Amoy Street (And Yes, There Are Free Burgers Up For Grabs)
If you’ve ever queued (patiently or otherwise) for a table at Scarpetta, you already know the drill: anything this team touches turns to gold. Now, the cult-favourite crew behind one of Singapore’s most perennially packed pasta spots is back—and this time, they’re flipping burgers. Enter Smash Street, the hot new opening landing on Amoy Street this April, and trust us, this is not your average burger joint.
Opening 3 April 2026, Smash Street is all about doing one thing and absolutely nailing it. The focus? Smash burgers that hit every note: crispy, caramelised edges, juicy centres, and that deeply satisfying, can’t-stop-thinking-about-it flavour. Inspired by late-night food cultures around the world, the concept strips things back to basics, but with an obsessive level of detail that screams serious foodie credentials.

And when we say obsessive, we mean it. The team went through over 30 iterations to perfect their signature burger: from testing buns of every texture imaginable to fine-tuning bespoke beef blends and crafting a sauce that delivers the ultimate umami hit with just the right kick. The result is their Classic: a double smashed beef patty situation tucked into a soft potato bun, built for maximum flavour and minimal fuss. Even better? It starts at just $14, making it dangerously easy to justify repeat visits.

It’s not just about the burgers either. Expect crispy, twice-fried fries, chicken poppers with chilli crunch aioli, and a cornflakes milkshake that taps straight into nostalgic, Saturday-morning vibes. The whole space leans into that casual, come-as-you-are energy—think quick bites, spontaneous drop-ins, and zero pressure dining. There are no reservations here, just 14 seats up for grabs, so it’s very much a walk-in, grab-and-go situation designed for those “I need a burger now” moments.
And because they know how to make an entrance, Smash Street is kicking things off with a bang: 1,000 free burgers across opening weekend. That’s 500 burgers a day on 3 and 4 April, split between lunch and dinner. Considering the Scarpetta-level hype behind this team, you’ll want to get in early. This is one opening Singapore’s food scene is about to collectively lose its mind over.
