We’ve got some beery good news for hops lovers of the Sunshine Coast and that should cover just about all of you (we pity those who never developed a palate for the amber liquid gold).

There’s a massive Craft Beer and Cider Festival happening this weekend at NightQuarter from 28 to 30 May—that’s three days of beer, people, so get excited.

Expect pop-up bars where you can wander, sample brews, and geek out over hops directly with a variety of brewers, including local faves like 10 Toes, Brouhaha, Sunshine Coast Brewery and Your Mates. There’ll also be other Aussie brewers showcasing their stuff, so prepare to whet your thirst with ciders, pale ales, stouts, specialty beers and porters.

Plus on Saturday night, NightQuarter will present a Beer Cocktail masterclass where you’ll be able to learn to craft three beer-inspired cocktails: based on Brouhaha’s cult favourite Strawberry and Rhubarb sour will be a strawberry and rhubarb martini, a Chocolate Stout Old Fashioned using Sanctus Brewing’ Triple B stout and a Edmund Brewing Ginger Beer dark and stormy mojito. Yum.

Speaking of yummy things, the festival will of course feature NightQuarter’s shipping container-based street food eats. From low and slow American barbecue to wood fired pizzas to locally caught seafood and desserts, there will be a ton of flavours to pair with any beer.

Guests will also receive a Rate the Beer card to complete for the chance to win Beer for a Year, so be sure to make tracks to Birtinya this weekend, stat.
