We’ve got some beery good news for hops lovers of the Sunshine Coast.
And that should cover just about all of you (we pity those who never developed a palate for the amber liquid gold).
Yep, step aside for a moment, because the Sunshine Coast is moving on up in the craft beer (and cider) world with the announcement we’re getting a brand new festival celebrating all things craft beer… and cider! And it’s going to be huge!
The date for the Craft Beer and Cider Festival has been set for Saturday, November 25 with a sunny location already secured at Sunshine Coast Stadium. This afternoon-to-night event kicks off at 3pm and goes all the way till 9pm.
Expect pop-up bars where you can wander, sample brews, and geek out over hops directly with a variety of brewers, including local faves like 10 Toes, Brouhaha, Sunshine Coast Brewery and Your Mates. There’ll be over 50 Aussie and Kiwi brewers showcasing their stuff, so prepare to whet your thirst with ciders, pale ales, stouts, specialty beers and porters.
Together with the brews, the Craft Beer and Cider Festival has promised chews (AKA food trucks galore), some pretty sweet live music performances and a sideshow alley complete with dodgem cars, bucking bull and a dunk tank. Basically, we’re expecting an all ‘round feel-good environment that’s certain to embody all the things we love most about the Sunshine Coast—rad people!
For now, you can condition your beer-swigging arm and liver at our various craft beer bars and breweries, in preparation for when the Craft Beer and Cider Festival hits our shores late November. And don’t worry, the fact that the year is already half over (WTAF?) means it’ll be here before you know it.
