Just outside of Tenterfield on the other side of the NSW border (about three hours from Brisbane and four from the Gold Coast), Mirumiru is home to two bubble tents with a clear view of the sky above. Exactly what they sound like, these globe shaped tents are kitted out with a queen-sized bed, luxury linens, a camping fridge, bath robes and an indoor eco-bathroom.
If you really want to feel in touch with nature, there’s also a vintage outdoor bath and shower located on each of the bubble tent’s decks, as well as a gas hot plate kitchenette so you don’t have to leave your little slice of country paradise. The best part? A star-worthy telescope is also provided inside each tent, which you can use to get even closer to those constellations.
Worried about privacy with those clear walls? Don’t be—the Mirumiru property is all wide open farmland, and the two tents are far enough apart that you won’t even notice you have neighbours. Families aren’t excluded from staying either—close by to one of the luxurious bubbles is a tiny bubble tent suspended from the trees that can be added on to your booking for up to three youngsters who will no doubt find the experience the height of adventure.
