Renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty, top-notch dining and pristine beaches, there’s no doubt that Noosa Heads is one of Australia’s most beloved holiday destinations—and it’s about to get so much better.
Fortitude Valley’s The Calile Hotel is set to open a luxury resort in Noosa. After two years of community consultation and planning refinement, the highly anticipated project has finally been given the green light to grace a 2.4-hectare site at 3-7 Serenity Close.
In contrast to large multinational hotel chains, the team are committed to reflecting the region's natural climate and rich culture in the construction of this project—they’re also working with Richards & Spence again, the architects behind the OG hotel, so you know it’s going to be a stunner. And, of course, it wouldn’t be worthy of the Calile name without a few exceptional places to dine, so the hunt is on for talent to operate several food and beverage venues.

The resort will feature a whopping 153 generously sized rooms, 29 larger suites, and four luxe three-bedroom villas, with surrounding bushland in abundance. The 50-metre main swimming pool is sure to be a standout, with a second garden pool for those seeking more tranquillity. Complete with a range of wellness facilities (we’re hanging out for that tennis court) and function spaces, it's already shaping up to be the beach resort of our dreams.
If we thought James Street’s hotel was peak summer hangs, it seems we have another thing coming. Construction of The Calile Noosa is set to begin in early 2025 and expected to take three years—worth the wait, we reckon.
Stay tuned to find out when bookings will open, even if it will be a while.
