Searching for the ultimate way to burn the never-ending energy of little ones? A trip to Australia’s largest indoor entertainment centre will do it, where adventures are aplenty. At Area 51 you'll find a high ropes course, astrotots playland, a trampoline park, an inflatable wonderland, a mega slide, bouldering and a ninja park—plus more. Post-play, kids can refuel at the 300-seat onsite cafe, serving crowd-pleasers like burgers, pizzas, hot chips, and even dumplings. Don’t forget to treat the crew to a towering sundae at the ice cream shop before you go.

Underwood Park

Escape the city for magical Underwood Park. Encased in lush greenery, there’s a lagoon to picnic beside and gazebos to relax under. But the best bit? The FUNderwood Hollow playground. Peter Pan-inspired, there are castle-like towers that stretch up to the sky, totter bridges, scramble nets and a climbing wall. This fairytale space also has a pedal-power monorail track and a flying fox.

Devon Pixies

Treat the little ones in your life to a tea party at Logan’s first-ever tea house, Devon Pixies. Housed in an adorable weatherboard cottage, sip hot chocolate out of teacups and let the sugar high commence—with pint-sized sweet treats like caramel slices, chocolate fudge brownies, cookies and cupcakes. They also serve a tasty range of sandwiches and pies for the savoury-lovers in your clan.

Daisy Hill Koala Centre

Looking for one of the best free things to do with kids in Logan? Then a visit to the iconic Daisy Hill Koala Centre should shoot to the top of your list. Located within the Daisy Hill Conservation Park, kids can get up close and personal with the furry residents as they laze amongst the eucalyptus trees. Curious minds will learn all about the koala’s life cycle through interactive displays, how to help an injured furry friend and how they can help with future conservation efforts. Pro tip: grab a few home made treats from one of the nearby cafes and set up a make-shift picnic among the native surroudings.

Logan Art Gallery

The kids will be inspired to get creative after a visit to the Logan Art Gallery. The contemporary space changes exhibitions (which range from local and international artists to First Nations peoples), every six weeks, so no matter how many times you visit, there’s always something new to marvel at. The calendar here is also packed with awesome activities for the youngsters—including workshops, theatre shows and artist talks and readings.

Bayside Wake Park

Perfect for the mini thrill seekers in your life (aged 10 and above), a trip to the family-owned Bayside Wake Park is bound to earn you the status of favourite parent. Sign them up for a wakeboarding lesson with one of the instructors and see their confidence soar as they navigate jumps, kickers and wedges. This wet and wild day out is serving bucket list vibes.

Kingston Park Raceway

Need more adrenaline-pumping action for the kids? Then a visit to Kingston Park Raceway is a must. Kids aged 10 and above can take on the twists and turns of the Monte Carlo circuit. Kids aged 4 -8 will want to check out the Daytona Kids Karts. With a top speed of 17 km/ph and bumper protection, your little ones will be safe and sound as they zip around the Daytona Oval track. Post-ride, there are snacks and drinks for refueling at the Pit Stop Cafe, plus an arcade packed with nostalgic games.

Shark And Ray Gardens

Budding marine biologists will love the Shark and Ray Gardens, an interactive aquarium where you can pet stingrays and nurse sharks. Roll up your jeans and get knee-deep in the water, while rescued rays and sharks swim between your legs. Get acquainted with the resident leopard shark, tawny nurse shark and blue spotted ray that call the gardens home.

Cornubia Forest Park

Nature lovers will want to make tracks to Cornubia Forest Park, a green wonderland spanning 196 hectares. Here, the whole family can stretch their legs with a meander among towering fig and gum trees. There’s a 1.4km path that’s perfect for walking or cycling, which winds through a canopy of greenery and along a peaceful creek. Be sure to look out for the park's residents—koalas, bandicoots, wallabies and over 50 species of native birds. Pack a picnic and set up by the kid's playground for the ultimate family day out.

Chambers Flat Strawberry Farm

In the summer season, the littlies in your life will love roaming through the rows of strawberry plants—filling their basket with the plumpest, juiciest berries at Chambers Flat Strawberry Farm as they go. Once they’ve successfully gathered their haul, you can tuck into your stash at the farm’s picnic tables—there’s even a playground to check out too. Be sure to visit the farm shop year-round for homemade strawberry ice cream, strawberry jam and choccie-dipped berries.
