Things To Do

This Long Weekend Tee Off And Party On The Rooftop At This Gold Coast Entertainment Venue

By Maddie Wallman

Putting a new spin on golf since it opened on the Gold Coast in 2018, Topgolf is not your average golf venue. The all-ages family-friendly venue combines fine food, top-notch drinks, pumping beats and the not-so-slow sport of golf, giving putt-putt pros, wannabe golfers, those who have never dabbled in the game and true legends of the sport a chance to play together in a non-judgemental environment.

If you’re yet to discover the allure of golf, it’s time to get swinging. Here’s four fun things that’ll convince you to 'Come Play Around' Topgolf this Easter.

Tee Off On The Green

The aim of the game is simple: hit Topgolf’s microchipped balls as close to the targets as possible. The closer you get, the higher you score, with all ages and skill levels having a chance of getting some big points thanks to the huge outfield targets and Topgolf’s innovative tracing technology. Each swing’s accuracy, speed and distance is recorded and instantly recorded on the screens, meaning you can see exactly what you need to do to improve. Golfing pros can bring their own clubs, and amateurs can use the complimentary clubs provided. Open every day for you to come play around, Top Golf’s climate-controlled hitting bays will cooler Queensland nights.

Boogie On The Newly Refreshed Rooftop To The GC’s Best DJs

Alongside the multi-level driving bays, Topgolf does things a little differently. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, the Gold Coast’s hottest DJs will be spinning sky-high tunes on the vibrantly refreshed Topgolf rooftop terrace, getting you into the swing of things with all of your favourite tracks. Kicking off at 6pm every weekend, check out Topgolf’s Instagram to see who is behind the decks this week.

Carb-load On Classics Washed Down With Icey Cold Cocktails

Worked up an appetite from all that putting, chipping and driving? Tee up your taste buds and settle in for a feast from the Topgolf kitchen. Dishing up easy-going American-style fare, there’s wings, sliders, nachos, tacos, burgers towered sky high, salads for something a little lighter, loaded flatbreads and more, best enjoyed alongside a tipple of two from the extensive drinks menu. Throw it back to the '80s with a round of Midori Sours and then refuel with the Caddy Tower —a deep-fried feast featuring three tiers of salty snacks made for sharing.
