Bango Korean & Bar

Bango Korean & Bar is the Sunshine Coast’s vibrant new Korean tapas bar, and to say it’s unlike anything the Sunshine Coast has seen before would be an understatement. 

Most would know—and adore—Bango’s sister restaurant, Jango, which has become a local hotspot for traditional Korean BBQ. While Jango specialises in family-style Korean BBQ, Bango offers modern takes on street food and elevated tapas plates, known as ‘Pocha’ in Korea. 

The menu encompasses a slew of cold, fried, steamed and stir-fried dishes, hot pot, noodles and even a whole section for Korean pancakes. Expect to find hot pot sharing dishes like shabu shabu, Osam bulgogi, bossam, soft tofu soup along with a selection of traditional Korean drinks including soju, makgeolli, and Korean-inspired cocktails.

Speaking of cocktails, Bango will be the only Korean restaurant and bar open until midnight on the Sunshine Coast. We can already picture many a late night here with friends, chowing down on incredible Korean dishes with cocktails in hand. We also love that Bango keeps it lowkey with walk-ins only.
