Ena Greek Street Food
The Verdict
It's a well known fact that Melbs holds the largest Greek population in the world outside of Greece—and yet, us Aussies seemingly spend a lot of time wondering where we can get our next Greek foodie fix.
Ena Greek Street Food is exactly that: a option for some traditionally cooked meats and seafood on a slow rotisserie over a coal fire pit, paired with a Greek Salad or some dolmades. If it sounds old fashioned, it isn't—the thoroughly modern canteen-style restaurant accompanies Greek favourites with contemporary additions like moussaka croquettes, braised ox cheek, and a stellar chargrilled watermelon salad paired with feta.
For your money, I'd bet each and every time on the gyros plates, however: you get a bit of everything, including the chargrilled meat of your choice, soft-as-you-like chips, delicious warm pita, and salads. Pair that with a glass of red, and you're in business.
The restaurant is set to open on the Sunshine Coast in July inside Sunshine Plaza.
