We’ve been lured in with the delicious promise of soju and the hot sizzle of our favourite meats and couldn’t be happier about it. A sister restaurant to one of our favourite Japanese spots, SOKA, Jango Korean BBQ can be found at Kawana Shopping World. Jango’s modern and minimalistic Korean atmosphere is set to offer not only premium quality meat, but some of the tastiest traditional dishes that we know you’ll have on repeat.
Slide into their sleek booths, fire up the grill and be sure to have your chopsticks at the ready because these authentic Korean dishes deserve your full attention. For starters, try either the seafood, kimchi or spring onion and vegetable savoury pancakes. Follow this with Tteokbooki—spicy stir-fried rice cakes in a gochujang-based sauce. Their tasty soup and bibimbap sets are also not to be missed and are perfect for any vegetarians in the mix. The main event, however, is the charcoal BBQ menu. With wagyu beef aplenty as well as a delicious pork belly or a newly included seafood option, your only decision will be deciding on your favourite cut.
Wash your BBQ feast down with either soju or a traditional Korean beer and you’ll understand why Jango Restaurant is our new favourite Korean BBQ restaurant on the Sunshine Coast.
