The Verdict

Tucked along Hastings Street, O-Ren is somewhat of a hidden gem among the best restaurants in Noosa. 

Created by the same people behind Copperhead Brewery in Cooroy, this modern Asian restaurant serves up a fusion of their own hand-crafted beers, cocktails and share-style cuisine.

Sitting above street level, it’s the perfect place for a side of people watching after a day at the beach. The menu is split into dishes of all sizes, so we totally recommend going with someone who is happy to order multiple plates for a night of grazing. 

Overwhelmed by the choices? Don’t stress, we’ve got you covered. Munch on the Lotus chips with sweet pork relish, before trying the Tataki beef with puffed rice, Vietnamese pickled vegetables and yuzu mayonnaise. Then, go big and feast on braised lamb shoulder with chilli tamari caramel, sour tomato and green pawpaw, as well as the yellow curry, filled with grilled local prawns, sweet tomatoes and basil. 

End your O-Ren experience with a bang and plunge your fork into their Yuzu Bomb, complete with lemon ice cream, wrapped in sponge and pandan meringue flamed at table. It’s as flash as it sounds.
